"Chạm" Là chủ đề buổi trưng bày, thuyết trình về sơn mài của tôi. Quy trình/tiến trình sơn mài Việt Nam từ nhựa sơn-nguyên liệu đầu tiên đến tác phẩm-sản phẩm cuối cùng được nghệ thuật hóa. "Chạm" kết hợp giữa hình thức trưng bày với sắp đặt, thuyết trình nhằm làm mới mẻ cách thức truyền thông giữa tác giả-tác phẩm-công chúng.  Lần đầu tiên, cây sơn, nhựa sơn, người trồng sơn và họa sĩ cùng tranh sơn mài hội ngộ trong một văn cảnh chưa có tiền lệ tại rừng sơn Phú Thọ.

25 tác phẩm sơn mài của tôi được gắn kết với cây sơn - nguồn gốc tạo sản nhựa-nguyên liệu cốt lõi tạo tranh sơn mài Việt Nam bố trí cao thấp, trước sau, trong ngoài với người xem/nghe. Họ là sinh viên ngành mỹ thuật và người dân địa phương. Giữa cây/tranh/người không có tách biệt, phân tuyến không gian mà cùng tương tác lẫn nhau. Trong bối cảnh đó, tôi trong vai trò là người thuyết trình cho người dân địa phương và sinh viên về quy trình sơn mài Việt Nam. Qua đây, tôi muốn chỉ ra mối quan hệ qua lại và tác động lẫn nhau giữa các nhân tố, thành tố, thực trạng và hệ lụy hiện nay của sơn mài Việt Nam dưới nhãn quan Hệ sinh thái học nghệ thuật (Art Ecosystem).

"Chạm" cũng là thời điểm và không gian thích hợp để tôi tự đúc rút, đánh giá quá trình sáng tạo tác phẩm sơn mài của bản thân và quan trọng hơn là tiếp thêm năng lượng cho những sáng tạo tiếp theo.

Sự kiện này chỉ là một "sát-na" trong tiến trình lịch sử phát triển của nghệ thuật sơn mài Việt Nam, qua đó, tôi hi vọng góp phần nhỏ bé vào công cuộc chấn hưng/phục hưng giá trị chói sáng của sơn mài trong bối cảnh nghệ thuật đương đại Việt Nam.

TOUCH

 “Touch” is the theme of the exhibition, lecture of my lacquer works. The process of Vietnam lacquer from the resin of SON tree – the first material to the final works created by art. “Touch” combines the exhibit form with installation and lecture in order to renew the traditional technique of the works in the relation with the artist and the public as well. This is the first time that SON tree, its resin, grower and artist with lacquer paintings meet in the context which has never happened before at SON Forest in Phu Tho province.

My 25 lacquers works related to Son tree- the origin of making resin – the ultimate material of Vietnam lacquer painting are arranged upper and under; in front of-behind, inside-outside towards to the viewers/ listeners. In the context, I am in the role of the lecturer to introduce to the local people and student about Vietnam lacquer process. From that, I would like to clarify the relationship which has the strong impact between factors, people, state and current social ties of Vietnam lacquer in the view of Art Ecosystem.

 “Touch” is also the suitable time and space for me to draw out experience and by myself evaluate my creation process of lacquer works, and the more important things is that it can bring me more energy to create the next artworks.

This event is only one “lightning moment” in the process of history development of Vietnam lacquer art, from that, I hope to contribute partly into the renaissance revolution of the noble value of lacquer in Vietnam contemporary art.
